Wound Care Nurse
Located in Batavia, NY
Salary : $80K - $100K Range; Based On Experience
Responsibilities of the Nurse :
- Provide wound care on assigned residents, in accordance with physician orders and appropriate techniques
- Complete a thorough and accurate wound assessment upon notification of wound
- Complete follow-up assessments weekly and as needed and document all assessments in the medical record
- Identify, manage, and treat specific skin conditions, such as pressure injuries; diabetic, venous, or arterial ulcers; and traumatic or complicated wounds
- Develop nursing care plans for resident at risk or currently with skin integrity issues, include treatment protocols
- Provide resident and staff education. Work collaboratively with Physical therapy and nursing staff to maintaining nursing rehabilitation programs
Qualifications for the Wound Care Nurse-Nursing Home :
Must have New York RN or LPN license
Must have experience as a Wound Care Nurse
Must have long-term care experience
Must have excellent leadership skills
Must have strong clinical background and knowledge
