Responsibilities

- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and self-management practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in accordance with hospital policies.
- Stay updated on the latest wound care practices and technologies to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to wound care management.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of wound care principles and practices.
- Experience in pediatrics or working in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is preferred.
- Familiarity with coding systems such as ICD-9 for accurate documentation.
- Ability to perform catheterization and tube feeding procedures when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Proficient in emergency medicine protocols related to wound management.
