Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Resident Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of property management, ensuring a high standard of living for residents while maintaining the property’s integrity. This role requires good people skills, effective conflict management, and a commitment to upholding Fair Housing regulations.
Duties
- Coordinate timely turning and renting of vacant units.
- Work with maintenance staff on all aspects of property maintenance, ensuring timely repairs and upkeep of facilities.
- Work with housekeeping staff to maintain cleanliness of facilities.
- Oversee property leasing activities, including tenant screening, lease agreements, and showing vacant units.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations and other relevant laws.
- Utilize Buildium software for efficient property management operations.
- Address resident concerns and conflicts promptly, employing conflict management techniques to resolve issues amicably.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Experience
Candidates should have a background in property management or related fields, with experience in the following areas considered advantageous:
- Property maintenance and repair processes.
- Property leasing procedures and tenant relations.
- Real estate administrative tasks including documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in data entry and file organization.
- Familiarity with Fair Housing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience using Buildium or similar property management software.
