Position: Policy Change Analyst - Annuity Unit
Purpose of the Job: As a Policy Change Analyst, you will be responsible for processing annuity policy changes, maintaining proper coding to rates, and ensuring departmental procedures are up-to-date. This role is vital for maintaining our knowledge-base, testing, and updating systems. You will perform routine work within established policies and procedures and receive detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.

Position: Policy Change Analyst - Annuity Unit
Purpose of the Job: As a Policy Change Analyst, you will be responsible for processing annuity policy changes, maintaining proper coding to rates, and ensuring departmental procedures are up-to-date. This role is vital for maintaining our knowledge-base, testing, and updating systems. You will perform routine work within established policies and procedures and receive detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Testing: Play a key role in divisional systems by participating in system testing of enhancements and upgrades, maintaining thorough knowledge, and training fellow employees on various systems.
- Problem Solving: Assist in solving problems to ensure the conservation of Company business, including handling complicated files.
- Procedure Maintenance: Create and maintain procedures within the department.
- System Analysis: Analyze and improve both manual and automated systems within the department for efficient workflow.
- Coding: Perform proper coding of master relative to all rate changes and Anniversary processing.
- Policy Changes: Conduct preliminary underwriting while processing all types of annuity policy changes, including reissues, effective date changes, additions, deletions, benefit changes, plan changes, year changes, policy conversions, reinstatement of lapsed policies, replacements, and non-renewals.
- Expense Monitoring: Maintain and monitor department expenses within budgetary guidelines by ensuring better cost efficiency and proper utilization of all available resources.
- Education: Associate degree in a related field. (3 years of insurance-related experience may substitute for the education requirement)
- Experience: In-depth knowledge of general insurance policies.
- Preferred Courses: LOMA courses preferred; HIAA courses are a plus.
