What are the responsibilities and job description for the Orthopedic Physician Liaison (Hybrid | Local Travel Required) position at American Orthopedic Partners, LLC?
Job Description
Are you passionate about building strong relationships and being the face of a growing orthopedic brand? At New York Sports and Joints, we’re seeking a dynamic and outgoing Physician Liaison to strengthen key partnerships and represent our organization with professionalism and enthusiasm.
New York Sports and Joints is known for its trusted reputation in the orthopedic space, delivering expert care with compassion, efficiency, and clinical excellence. As a valued part of our team, you’ll represent a respected practice with strong community ties and a commitment to patient-first care.
This hybrid role requires regular in-person visits to practices and partner offices—it is not a digital marketing position. Candidates with online/social media marketing backgrounds will not be considered unless they have significant in-person business development experience.
Position Overview
The Orthopedic Physician Liaison will serve as a vital link between our practice and external partners, including attorneys, chiropractors, and physical therapists. Your role will directly support the patient journey and care coordination through proactive outreach, clear communication, and consistent follow-up.
Key Responsibilities
This is a hybrid position based in the Greater New York Area, with local travel to surrounding practices and partner offices. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required. Mileage is reimbursed at the current IRS rate.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be personable, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced, field-based role focused on relationship-building. This position is best suited for individuals with previous experience in healthcare business development, orthopedic practices, or field-based medical sales.
While marketing experience is valued, this role is not a digital or online marketing position—it requires in-person outreach and strong interpersonal communication. Entry-level applicants or those seeking remote or online-focused roles may not find this role aligns with their goals or background.
Preferred Background
Salary for this position is determined by a variety of factors, including qualifications, skills, and experience. New York Sports and Joints is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to affirmative action and hire without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification.
