An established orthopedic practice in the Merrick, NY area is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates with 1-2 years of orthopedic surgery experience will be considered first.
Responsibilities :
Full-time permanent position -
Monday-Friday schedule - mix of clinic / OR / rounding
NO hospital call
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications : NY State License
Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
