PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Assures machine is running safely and efficiently to set standards while producing a good quality product.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ASSIGNED:
- Assures quality of production parts.
- Assures product is run efficiently as possible.
- Assures machine is running on or above quoted cycle.
- Assures auxiliary equipment is set up as efficiently and safe as possible.
- Trouble shoot and solves processing problems.
- Investigates scrap rates and makes improvements.
- Documents changes and improvements of cycles.
- Communication of what is running, process problems, etc.
- Starts up and shuts down presses when required.
- Shuts down plant, when required.
- Maintains neatness and organization of plant.
- Audits finished goods and collects data to assure the First Line Inspector is packing good product.
- Monitor’s materials, finish goods, and transportation.
- Understanding of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Procedure.
- Understands Lock Out / Tag Out Procedure.
- Implements and/or participates in corrective/preventative actions.
NOTE: The first responsibility of each APM employee is customer satisfaction.
Each employee of APM will support the quality and environmental
system.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Supervisor as needed.
- Set up new jobs as required.
- Audit basic mold lubrication and condition, respond as required.
- Assist in: other areas as needed, ie. Shipping/Receiving, Set Up Technicians, Material Handling, Quality
- Fill in for Supervisors as designated by Plant Manager.
- Adhere and understanding of Safety Measures and mitigate environmental impacts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Understanding of mold setting.
- Understanding of troubleshooting the injection molding process.
- Forklift license.
- Involves frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company requiring reasonable tact, discretion, and self-expression.
