American Pool Pittsburgh, the region’s #1 pool management company, is now hiring an Manager for the Brentwood Community Pool!
The Manager role’s primary responsibility is schedule making for all staff at the Baldwin Pool, ensuring the safety of all lifeguard staff and pool patrons; ensuring a safe swimming environment by enforcing all rules and regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for supervising the lifeguarding staff (6-8 lifeguards), providing customer service to patrons, and helping hold a preseason orientation. The manager will report directly to the supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure patron safety by scanning the pool for distressed patrons while on duty
- Provide appropriate care (as trained) in the event of an injury or emergency
- Summon EMS if appropriate and work with other safety team members to facilitate a quick emergency response
- Check water chemistry to ensure the pool is safe to swim in
- Pool maintenance as needed
- Perform light cleaning duties to ensure the pool is in swimming condition prior to opening
- Sign patrons into the pool area to ensure only those permitted in the pool are given access
- Greet patrons while exhibiting excellent customer service skills in resolving any concerns that are addressed
Manager Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current lifeguard certification is preferred (but not required)
- Have a background in supervising and management
Manager Schedule and Compensation:
- Manager positions up to $16.50
- Position is classified as a full-time, temporary/seasonal, FLSA non-exempt employee - 40 hrs a week
- Position begins mid - May and runs through Labor Day weekend
