What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Associate position at American Pool Supply, Inc?
Welcome to American Pool Supply. It's a local mom-and-pop retail store and we’re proud of it! Our season will run from begining of May and end about early-mid October (it's all dependent on the weather).
We need someone who is reliable and hardworking to help our customers. Training will begin immediately and NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Pool knowledge is a plus, but certainly not a determining factor.
We pride ourselves on our customer service, and, by far, it’s our #1 priority. Our main goal is to educate our customers on how to open, close, maintain, and fix their pools. We work in a fun, relaxed environment, but always make sure our work is done.
Daily tasks:
- Assisting customers
- Completing water tests
- Stocking shelves
- Routine cleaning
- Carrying chemicals to customers' cars
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Problem solving abilities
- Ability to quickly learn
- Ability to delegate tasks to maintain order
Mandatory Requirements
- Must be able to bring chemicals and sand to customers' cars (40-50 lbs.) throughout work shifts
- Be able to work a mix of days, nights, and at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) from now until October (this can be adjusted for students)
Summary

While no prior experience is required, your ability to engage with customers and assist with retail sales will be essential.
