American Products, Inc. (API), a local manufacturer serving the commercial construction industry, including the retail and restaurant industry, specializes in architectural metal products such as storefronts, doors, canopies, sunshades, ACM panel systems, brake metal and handrail in Oldsmar, Fl. Our customers include some of the largest national chains in the country such as Chipotle, Outback, Forever 21, Old Navy etc. as well as architects, general contractors and subcontractors located nationally throughout the US.
Seeking a working Inside Sales Rep that will sell as well as oversee the sales process and work in the office on a daily basis.
We are in search of a very dynamic, outgoing, and professional Inside Sales Professional. You will work in our offices making outbound sales calls to sell our construction-related products. You will be contacting national chains, architects, construction companies and subcontractors via phone and will also visit these companies locally to generate business.
Responsibilities:
- Sell personally via cold and warm calling, local customer visits, etc.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully selling
- Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
- Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in an inside sales role – calling on warm prospects as well as cold calling
- Excellent computer skills
- Must have a very successful closing history
- Prior construction, manufacturing or bid coordination experience a plus
- Must be comfortable making outbound sales calls
- Experience with blueprints a plus
- Prior experience working with construction, manufacturing, signs, etc. a plus
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
