What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Manager position at American Products, Inc?
At American Products, Inc. (API), we manufacture architectural metal products locally from our facilities in Oldsmar, Fl. These products include, but are not limited to the following: Storefronts, Doors, Canopies, Sunshades, ACM panel systems, Brake metal, Awnings, Roof screens, and handrails. Some of the largest national chains in the country are our customers, such as, Forever 21, H&M, Carrabbas, Chipotle, Footlocker, Lululemon, Warby Parker, Old Navy, Athleta, etc.
We are looking for a Sales Manager to continue the relationship with existing accounts, upsell into those accounts and also bring in new accounts. This person must be customer service oriented and have the ability to address customer complaints. There is limited, if any, travel required.
Sales Manager Responsibilities:
- Make outbound sales calls daily
- Close sales
- Maintain and build strong relationships with customers.
- Talking extensively with customers regarding their quotes, orders, new designs, etc.
- Organizing and managing multiples projects among your accounts and prospects
- Develop sales proposals, presentations and quotes for customers
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team on marketing strategies
- Maintain up to date understanding of industry trends, products and technical information
Sales Manager Requirements:
- Excellent sales abilities with the desire and drive to sell and close business alongside a team
- Must be customer service and sales oriented, self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creative
- Above average computer skills especially in Excel and Word.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Team player attitude
- Effectively communicate with customers and staff
- Must be able to manage a fast-paced work environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Prior experience in architecture, working with architects, construction, signs, architectural metals, manufacturing, a plus but not required.
