The Santa Barbara MTD is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Manager to lead safety programs and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations. In this vital role, you will manage safety initiatives for employees, contractors, passengers, and the public.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead safety committees, training programs, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CalOSHA, and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) regulations.
- Manage safety programs like Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan (PTASP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety and mitigate risks, including emerging technologies like fleet electrification.
