What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manual Machinist position at American Pump & Drilling?
American Pump & Drilling is a steady-growing local business looking for a self-motivated individual who enjoys working hard to join our team. APD has physical locations in Ucon, Idaho; Idaho Falls, Idaho; and Afton, Wyoming, and specializes in delivering water. This position will be based out of Ucon, Idaho. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities include:
- Run a lathe to modify and build parts
- Operate a mill
- Tear down and reassemble pumps as needed
- Machine other items as necessary
- Maintain and clean work area and shop equipment
- Cross-train into other job functions, as needed
Desired Skills:
- Mechanical ability
- Willing and able to receive on-the-job training
- Willing to work overtime as needed to complete projects and meet deadlines
- Thoroughness and attention to detail
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Follow safety procedures
