Associate Account Manager

About the Role:
American Robotics is looking for an Associate Account Manager to support customer programs and new business pursuits across commercial, industrial, and defense markets. This is a hands-on role focused on supporting proposals, contracts, internal operations, and customer deliverables — with a clear path to owning and managing customer accounts over time.
You’ll work directly with senior Business Development leadership, helping drive execution across current programs while supporting new opportunities. This is a great role for someone detail-oriented, organized, and looking to build a career in business development, customer engagement, and program management within the autonomous systems industry.
Responsibilities:
- Support Business Development leadership with key customer accounts across commercial, industrial, and defense markets.
- Step in and represent American Robotics in customer-facing engagements when required.
- Build clean, professional presentations, proposals, and customer deliverables (PowerPoint expertise required).
- Write and submit SBIRs, RFIs, RFQs, and other customer responses.
- Set up and manage customer/vendor portals and online registration processes.
- Assist with pricing efforts, quote generation, and proposal development.
- Review and manage NDAs, contract terms & conditions, and teaming agreements.
- Track deliverables, deadlines, and action items across programs and pursuits.
- Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, operations, contracts, finance) to keep programs on track.
- Maintain CRM records, customer activity tracking, and reporting.
- Travel (~25%) for customer meetings, program reviews, and industry events.
- Grow over time into direct ownership of assigned customer accounts.
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in Aerospace, Defense, UAS, ISR, Industrial Technology, or related industries.
- Working knowledge of federal contracting processes — including SBIRs, RFIs, RFQs, proposal writing, and government submission portals.
- Strong understanding of NDAs, contract language, and terms & conditions.
- Expert-level PowerPoint skills — able to build clean, professional, customer-ready presentations.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in learning pricing, quoting, and deal structure.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.
- Growth mindset with a desire to move into direct customer account management.
Compensation:
- Salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 based on experience.
