What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Applicator II position at American Roller Company?
Do you enjoy working with your hands and solving mechanical challenges? American Roller Company is seeking a Material Applicator II. This is a hands-on role for mechanically inclined individuals with an eye for detail.
What You'll Do:
- Operate rubber mill and extrusion machinery, resolving common processing issues (training provided for the right candidate).
- Mill rubber using a knife, then slab off and transfer material to cooling/drying carts, strip from the mill, or feed into extruders for straining.
- Accurately weigh batches of raw materials and operate pre-blending equipment according to instructions.
- Perform material handling tasks using a forklift (must be willing to learn if not already experienced).
- Use basic shop math to ensure accurate batching and processing.
- Work independently, maintaining a steady pace and meeting production goals without constant oversight.

Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with precision tools (micrometers, calipers) and reading blueprints is a plus.
- Familiarity with overhead hoists and forklifts.
