Accounting Assistant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports.
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts as needed.
• Support the annual audit process and provide necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting (4 years preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
• Insurance Industry knowledge is a plus, but not required.
