Summary
As the Director of Supply Chain Management at American Safety Services Inc, you will be pivotal in optimizing our supply chain operations to enhance efficiency and service delivery. This role is crucial for supporting our commitment to excellence in safety services across the Permian Basin. The Supply Chain Director manages the flow of goods and services from procurement to distribution. They are responsible for ensuring that products are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Procurement: Develop networks for purchasing and managing commodities
- Production: Oversee manufacturing processes, including delivery and warehousing
- Distribution: Manage shipping and receiving, and coordinate logistics
- Inventory: Analyze inventory to predict demand, and troubleshoot issues
- Vendor relations: Maintain relationships with vendors and distributors
- Contract negotiation: Negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Performance metrics: Establish and maintain performance metrics for suppliers and the supply chain
- Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Team management: Supervise, mentor, and guide a high-performance team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably within the safety or oilfield services industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and best practices.
- Expertise in a midl-evel accounting systems; familiarity with Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in demand planning and forecasting techniques.
- Proficient in data analysis tools.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Understanding of logistics, distribution, purchasing and procurement, manufacturing, and marketing is essential.
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management is preferred
