Job Responsibilities
As an Import Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible for the daily handling of traffic functions, including:
- Sending Delivery Orders and dispatching shipments to carriers
- Verifying bill of lading numbers, piece counts, and container numbers against arrival notices or bills of lading
- Emailing delivery orders to truckers
- Confirming receipt in written format
- Updating systems with delivery order sent details
- Claiming containers as necessary
- Ensuring cargo has been moved out of terminals or rail yards prior to the last free day
- Verifying delivery dates input by truckers
- Obtaining Proof of Delivery where required
- Entering proof of delivery dates into the operations system
- Monitoring daily reports
- Advising Customer Service representatives of any delays in delivery
