This role involves handling daily traffic functions for operations and supporting Customer Service. Key responsibilities include sending Delivery Orders, dispatching shipments to carriers, and following up to ensure pickup and delivery completion. Additionally, you will verify bill of lading numbers, piece counts, and container numbers against arrival notices or bills of lading, email delivery orders to truckers, confirm receipt in written format, update systems with delivery order sent details, and claim containers as necessary.
You will also ensure cargo has been moved out of terminals or rail yards prior to the last free day, verify delivery dates input by truckers, obtain Proof of Delivery where required, enter proof of delivery dates into the operations system, monitor daily reports, and advise Customer Service representatives of any delays in delivery.
