Position Summary:
The Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology (WLM) is a 501c (3) foundation of the American Society of Anesthesiologist (ASA). WLM is seeking a part-time to full-time contractor to work onsite at our Schaumburg, IL location. This position would work 20-40 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months. The contractor will perform the following Archives/Library and/or Museum responsibilities:
Archives/Library (20 hours/week):
- Processing backlog of library and/or archives including digitization.
- Prior cataloging experience and handling of sensitive materials is required.
- Familiarity with metadata required.
- Previous experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) software, work collection management software is required.
- Ability to perform repetitive work and attention to detail is necessary.
Museum (20 hours/week):
- Processing backlog of museum artifacts, donations, and non-archived boxes of artifacts.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience of museum processing experience required.
- Previous experience with museum collection management software.
- Ability to perform repetitive work and attention to detail is necessary.
Position Compensation:
This position is a non-exempt/hourly position. The target hiring pay range for this position is: $20/hour. This position is not eligible for a yearly bonus/incentive.
Compensation decisions consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, business needs, and organizational policies.

Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment with light noise. Work may be frequently interrupted. The employee will spend most of the workday sitting, computing, and talking/hearing. May require lifting (boxes) in the 10-40 lb. range requiring the ability to bend at the waist and knee.
Salary : $20
