While design is at the heart of this role, it also involves a significant amount of project management. We’re looking for a strategic thinker with proactive drive, strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to follow-through.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to : Support the design and implementation of high-end residential projects from concept through completion.Develop detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD.Contribute to the development of design concepts, including furniture and finish selections, custom furniture development, and sourcing materials such as finishes, plumbing fixtures, and decorative hardware.Prepare and present client-facing materials, including drawings, mood boards, material flat lays, and visual presentations.Create proposals and purchase orders using Houzz / Ivy.Manage project scopes, including prioritization, budget oversight, timelines, and scheduling.Maintain clear and effective internal communication and provide regular project updates.Collaborate and coordinate with vendors, architects, general contractors, builders, and tradespeople to ensure all design elements are executed seamlessly and according to plan.QUALIFICATIONSThis is a full-time position with standard office hours, but flexibility is required for occasional overtime to meet deadlines. Ability to travel for out of state projects as needed.Reside in the Chicago area with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Candidates relocating to the area will also be considered.Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.4-8 years in residential interior design; experience with large scale new construction, extensive renovations and familiarity on a construction site.A portfolio that showcases both your technical skills and your creative vision.Strong project management skills.Proficiency with a PC, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop), Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
