Fabrication Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Fabrication supervisor is responsible for precisely cutting, shaping, and installing Quartz, porcelain and natural stones on various surfaces like floors, walls, and countertops, following blueprints and project specifications, utilizing specialized tools and adhesives to achieve a finished, aesthetically pleasing result.

Job Duties / Essential Job Functions:

· Laminates quartz, granite and marble.

· Polishes all materials.

· Fabricates vanity or small islands.

· Uses a grinder, blade, tape measure, polishing pads.

· Cleans and maintains tools, equipment, and work areas. Maintaining a clean client site.

· Follows safety protocols to ensure a secure work environment.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

· Performs as a team player and helps all areas, as needed.

· Fabricates kitchens, using all materials.

· Completes sink cutouts.

· Uses miter to edge by hand.

· Completes high quality fabrication with no defects, clean joints and matched colors.

· Fabricates large projects, all materials,

· Completes both sink cutout and integrated sinks.

· Problem solves during fabrication for a quality product.

· Efficient at fabricating. Need team player to help wherever is needed. Ability to use a grinder, blade, tape measure, polishing pads.

Minimum Requirements:

Prior work experience, demonstrating the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Supervisor Experience Required.

· Ability to perform all types of edge work on stone and refinish polished faces.

• Knowledge and experience with hand and power tools for granite fabrication.
• General geological knowledge as applied to granite, marble, and quartz preferred.
• Experience using measuring tools, power tools, and equipment utilized in the tile and stone industry.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures and wear Personal Protective Equipment
• Knowledge of Stone Material Handling.

Education and Experience:

· Level 1: 1 year of related experience fabricating natural stone (including counter-tops, vanities, and custom stonework).

· Level 2: 4 years of experience

· Level 3: 6 years of experience

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to push, pull, and carry materials 50 lbs. and prolonged standing.

· Ability to lift 50 lbs

· Ability to lift and move heavy objects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
