This position is on a rotating schedule and will work both 7 am-7 pm and 7 pm - 7 am.
New Hire Bonus Program:
ATI is offering a sign-on Bonus program for this position.
The full bonus amount is $2,500 - to be paid out quarterly
1st qtr of employment is 15% of bonus total
2nd qtr of employment is 20% of bonus total
3rd qtr of employment is 25% of bonus total
4th qtr of employment is 40% of bonus total
To qualify for each qtr, new hire must be in good standing with no attendance points.
American Tissue Industries is a paper towel and tissue manufacturer focused on the Retail and Away-from-Home markets. Our products include premium bath tissue and paper towels. The Production Department is responsible for transforming raw materials into finished goods through a series of efficient processes and procedures. The department consists of various levels of converting operators, who run the machines for maximum output and forklift operators, who feed the raw material to the machines and move the finished goods to the warehouse. The team leads supervise the operators on shift.
Duties and Responsibilitites
- Operates production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications. Assigned machines are used for paper converting operations and include the winder, log saw, wrapper, case packer and palletizer.
- Produces the required quantity of each product within established specifications and tolerances.
- Measures finished goods with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
- Maintains logs and records of goods produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded materials.
- Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
- Optimizes the equipment to run a peak efficiency.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
6. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One year of paper converting experience preferred.
7. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Non climate controlled environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Ability to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect goods produced.
Must be able to pass drug test and background to be considered.
