Summary:
The program specialist works under the full supervision of the Managing Director of CSINT to support the Center’s diverse research programs and related activities. The Program Specialist will be responsible for managing administrative tasks, including email correspondence, scheduling and organizing meetings and events, managing social media accounts and CSINT’s online presence, and ensuring that all program materials are readily accessible to stakeholders as well as basic financial tasks including monthly reconciliation and budgetary tracking. The program specialist will work with other staff and leadership of CSINT on specific projects and areas of responsibility
Essential Functions:

1.) Web Management, Communications, and Social Media
Update CSINT website with information about events, programming, and publications.
Update online scholar profiles including CSINT fellows, staff, and affiliates.
Maintain the CSINT social media presence by developing content and working with CSINT leadership to define a comms strategy and desired audience.
Assist with editing and design of CSINT publications.
Coordinating the development, editing, and dissemination of the Center’s newsletters, annual reports, and other publications to highlight the Center’s achievements.
2.) Event Planning Under supervision of the Managing Director; in collaboration with other leadership:
Assist in executing logistical tasks for multiple workshops, invited lectures/panels, and salons & roundtables; including arrangements for registration, meeting facilities, meals, lodging, audiovisual equipment and operators, and transportation.
The Program Specialist will coordinate speaker invitations, manage scheduling, and assist in marketing and promotional efforts using platforms like Canva and Mailchimp.
The position requires some evening and early morning availability to support events, as well as familiarity with university event management protocols and tools.
3.) Financial Management Under direct supervision of the Managing Director:
Manage the CSINT purchase-card and handle monthly reconciliation.
Collaborate with the CSINT Director and Managing Director to code CSINT expenses, monthly, against the Center’s internal budget.
Assisting with grant searches, including researching and identifying potential funding opportunities, and supporting the grant-writing process as directed.
4.) Other Duties as Assigned
Serving as the primary liaison between the Center and students, faculty, alumni, and external professionals, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
Organizing and maintaining both physical and digital files, updating program guides and policies, and managing sensitive information with discretion.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
No more than 25 hours per week.
This position is contingent on external funds.
Salary Range:
$25.00 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree.
Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience
Travel Required:
Occasional regional travel e.g. to Airlie, VA.
