Summary:
The Operations Assistant(s) (OA) will report directly to the Director of Conference & Event Services at AU Washington College of Law (WCL). OAs are responsible for completing event set ups at the Washington College of Law campus as well general event support. Operations Assistants will support Washington College of Law Conference & Event Services operations before, during, and after weekday business hours.
Responsibilities:
Completing all event related set ups at WCL according to the provided set up diagram and EMS worksheet.
Understand operational capabilities and best usage of the meeting space.
Provide a high level of customer service to all guests and event attendees when working an event.
Report any problems or concerns with the event or any resources to the WCL Director of Conference & Event Services.
Report to AU Washington College of Law for all scheduled shifts and trainings.
Attend all position related trainings and meetings.
Assist with other CES event related tasks as necessary.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work:
Part-Time.
Flexibility to work during the day, nights, and weekends for 5-25 hours per week between 6am-11:30pm.
The number of scheduled work hours will vary each week based upon the event scheduled on campus.
Must be able to provide at least 20 hours of availability each week.
Salary Range:
$17.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Successful candidates must be in good academic standing with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Must be a driven student who demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
Must be able to work both independently and as part of a team environment to perform all necessary job responsibilities with accuracy and efficiency with minimal direct supervision.
Must be detail-oriented to perform job functions with accuracy and precision.
Must be able and willing to lift items up to 25-75lbs.
Ability to represent AU and WCL by means of a pleasant and helpful disposition, a positive attitude, and quick response.
Must be willing and able to lift items up to 25-75lbs.
Must be willing to complete other event related tasks as directed by full time Conference & Event Services staff.
