About the Position:
The PM Pro is a dynamic position within the American Veterinary Group (AVG) of hospitals and provides leadership and guidance to our veterinary practices when there is a practice manager vacancy at one of our clinics. The PM Pro must be a road warrior and able to adapt to a variety of practice environments as they support various clinics within the AVG network of practices.
In the absence of a permanent practice manager, the PM Pro provides structure, leadership, and focuses on change management to develop and lead the practice team. The PM Pro also works with the Regional Director of Operations to recruit and onboard a new practice manager to join the hospital team. Typical 'placements' at our hospitals are 60-90 days as we work to hire and on-board a permanent practice manager for the team. The PM Pro is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations and serves as a liaison between the hospital team and our corporate support functions, including: marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance, etc. This role requires 90% travel.This is a full-time corporate position reporting to the Regional Director of Operations.
Key Responsibilities
The PM Pro is responsible for day-to-day hospital operations at their assigned locations, and serves as a liaison between the hospital team and our corporate support functions, including: marketing, payroll, IT, recruiting, finance, etc.
People Management: recruiting, developing, disciplining, and terminating paraprofessional staff, including annual performance reviews
Financial Management: overseeing the hospital's P&L, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, payroll, and inventory
Customer Service: resolving client issues and escalations and overseeing follow-up communications
Special Projects: the PM pro will work in partnership with the Regional Director of Operations on special projects, as assigned by leadership.
- Prior veterinary experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field required. Will consider directly related experience in lieu of education.
