What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Marketing Specialist position at American Water Damage Austin?
General Description: As a marketing representative, you will be responsible for generating call volume by recruiting referral sources, primarily plumbers, to join and participate in our referral program. In addition to recruiting new referral sources, you will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of retention of those referral sources once they become active in the program.
General Duties:
1. Recruit plumbers from plumbing supply houses by hosting breakfasts and lunches daily and introducing them to our referral program, encouraging participation, answering their questions, and overcoming any objections they may have.
2. Allow time before the supply house opens to obtain food, arrival and set up of marketing display.
3. Thoroughly explain the referral program to as many potential participants as possible daily.
4. Thoroughly explain and assist in the enrollment process.
5. Daily follow up on potential participants that have not enrolled to encourage activity.
6. Daily follow up on active participants to encourage continued participation.
7. Daily follow up on previously active participants that have become dormant.
8. Closely monitor call volume.
9. Establish daily, weekly and monthly call volume goals.
10. Expand market penetration by soliciting permission from new supply houses to host breakfasts and lunches on a regular basis.
11. Solicit referrals from active participants to expand the referral network.
12. Serve as liaison between network and operation.
13. Promote monthly contests to entire network.
14. Attend weekly virtual with national marketing team (typically Mondays and Fridays)
15. 1-2 hours in the office daily after supply house lunch for DM check-in, follow up and planning.
Expectations:
1. Recruitment:
· 5 new contacts per event.
· Minimum 5 new active participants per month
· 10 Outbound connected calls to pending participants, 5 to active participants, and 5 to inactive participants.
2. Retention:
· Maintain 85% retention measured over 90 days.
· Pursue all inactive participants for insight and attempt to re-activate.
3. Communication:
· Keep plumbers updated on the status of recent referrals on a regular basis.
· Accept incoming referral calls from sources when necessary.
· Daily updates with Division Manager
Immediate Supervisor: Local Division Manager
Work Schedule:Start time varies depending on event location and location opening hours. The typical work week is M-F; 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Arrival and setup time within one hour of supply house opening hours is preferred, but NLT 8:00.
Compensation: This is an hourly, non-exempt commission position and includes discretionary, performance-based incentives. A company vehicle (take home after 60 days), mobile phone, and gas card will be provided for work use. See “Schedule A” for details.
