Cutting Supervisor
Monday to Friday. No weekends.

The Cutting Supervisor will oversee the efficiency of cutting operations, ensuring safety, quality standards, and team performance while coordinating with other departments to meet production goals.
Responsibilities:
• Manage cutting staff and ensure all equipment is being operated safely during cutting or
respooling operations
• Train department staff on various cut machines, forklift operation, handling of various
types of wire and cable, systematic processing of orders
• Work with D365 Implementation team to continue to develop and improve workflow
process
• Rework and scrap of damaged cable
• Keep cutting area clean and organized, monitor and ensure all equipment (hand tools,
power equipment etc.) in the department are being used properly with PPE when
required, and returned to their areas when no longer in use
• Work with 2nd shift to ensure workflow continues when necessary
• Work closely with Order expeditor to ensure all orders are completed as scheduled
• Train department staff on additional service work performed (parallels, coiling, pulling
heads)
• Make sure all customer requirements are being followed (packaging, reel markings, etc.)
• Maintaining inventory of operating supplies (empty reels, rope, u-nails, end caps, etc.)
• Record and provide department metrics to management
• Participate in interview process of new department personnel
• Work closely with project manager on large scale project shipments to ensure on time
deliveries
• Facility security integrity including setting alarms, and locking doors when facility is not
operational
• Participate in warehouse/sales calls
• Identifying, correcting, mitigating any safety hazards that may arise.
• Continue to develop and build processes, techniques and strategies to improve workflow
• Attend training for duties related to position
• Assist during physical inventory
• Assist Warehouse manager with tasks and duties as needed
