Position Description
The milling department is responsible for cutting raw materials and the lead position responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
1. Starting production machines ensuring they are ready to go each morning.
2. Coordinating with the department supervisor and team daily to understand production needs and goals for that day and to create a plan for the next day.
3. Setting up the production floor relating to the daily plan reviewed with supervisor the previous afternoon.
4. Cross train in multiple rolls.
5. Fill in for missing employees as needed.
6. Ensure all safety and quality standards are being met and/or exceeded.
