Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Manager to oversee the daily operations of THe AmericInn By Wyndham. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of hospitality management, including budgeting, human resources, and guest relations. The Hotel Manager will ensure that all departments work cohesively to maintain high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Our hotel will be ungoing a full renovation in the next 10 months.
Duties
- Supervise daily hotel operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage staff performance through effective training, coaching, and evaluation.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management to maximize profitability while maintaining quality service.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring satisfaction.
- Conduct night audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with various departments including housekeeping, front desk, and maintenance to enhance guest experiences.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote the hotel and attract new guests.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the hotel premises.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospitality management or a similar role within the hotel industry.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
- Proficiency in phone systems and other communication technologies used in hotel operations.
- Experience with budgeting processes and financial management within a hospitality context.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader range of guests.
- Familiarity with night audit procedures is preferred for maintaining operational integrity during late hours.
- Background in human resources practices related to hiring, training, and employee relations is beneficial.
