This role is open to remote candidates and candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine, CA office. This role is exempt salary and pays $70,000 to $90,000 annually, dependent on experience. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.
We are looking for a self-motivated Accountant to work for our dynamic growing company!
Responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of client and creditor activity from the operating system against data in the accounting system
- Perform daily reconciliation of loan payments and loan balances with the servicing and loan origination systems
- Track reconciling items and work with other departments to resolve discrepancies to ensure accurate daily posting of general ledger activity
- Prepare various month end general ledger entries across multiple entities
- Reconcile multiple cash and other balance sheet accounts by collecting and analyzing account information along with researching and resolving any reconciling items
- Assist with process changes and process documentation
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls
- Assist with periodic audit and tax requests
Requirement:
- 5 years of accounting experience with a mid-sized or large company
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry
- Experience in accounting processes involving multiple legal entities
- Expertise in using accounting software programs (Oracle NetSuite preferred)
- Expertise in using Microsoft Excel with large data sets including writing of formulas and creating pivot tables
- Experience with other business software programs such as Office and GSuite
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to manage competing priorities and process changes
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting preferred)
