Job Summary (Purpose) :
As a Senior Network Engineer, this position will require a candidate to have experience in LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, VPNs, wireless, QoS, IP addressing, DHCP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and related technologies to support the various networks. This candidate will also interact and work closely with internal business teams and 3rd party vendor communications to support the business and plant operations. This position requires an active role in design, implementation, and maintenance of all networks in the environment, ensuring appropriate isolation between individual networks and following industry best practices to ensure security and availability of services. Candidate will work with IT management to recommend, adopt, document, and communicate standards and procedures on an ongoing basis.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Maintain strong communication across business, technical teams, and all senior management levels.
- Responsible for management of Firewalls including but not limited to Cisco FirePower and ASAs, Fortinet, as well as Palo Alto.
- Responsible for management of LAN, WAN, VPN, DMVPN, Client VPN, WLAN, IP addressing, DHCP, IPS, QoS and other required technologies in support of both business and plant operations.
- Responsible for maintaining compliance with standards, procedures, policies, and practices.
- Responsible to meet network requirements for support of IP telephony solutions.
- Responsible for developing effective network monitoring and solutions.
- Work with management to develop and maintain standards and procedures to meet policy and compliance requirements.
- Identify hardware and software technical problems, network and / or related system malfunctions, as well as upgrade and deploy firewalls, routers, switches, WLAN, and related components.
- Responsible for, compliance and operational reporting, tracking and configuration management per security policies. Requires travel to plant facilities within our geographic footprint.
- Additional duties as assigned.
