firstPRO is seeking a Senior Network Engineer that will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our client's systems infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco technologies and proficiency in Microsoft Azure, Exchange Online, and storage concepts. This role involves working closely with experienced professionals and being a critical part of the Level 3 Operations team, supporting servers, backups, storage, and cloud environments. This role is ON-SITE in Philadelphia, PA 3x a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Network Engineering & Support
- Work alongside the Senior Technical Manager to handle network troubleshooting, design, and enhancements.
- Deploy, configure, and administer core technologies, including Cisco network infrastructure, Azure cloud services, Exchange Online, and storage systems.
- Support and maintain the company's LAN / WAN networks, security infrastructure, and virtualization platforms.
- Operations & Escalations
- Provide Level 3 support for server, backup, storage, and Azure environments.
- Respond to ticket escalations and resolve complex technical issues.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule (approximately one week every six weeks) to provide after-hours support, ensuring availability for issue resolution as needed.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Technical Operations team to execute system designs, upgrades, and migrations.
- Contribute to infrastructure development projects by researching emerging technologies and recommending improvements.
- Mentor and guide team members on new technologies and best practices.
- Documentation & Testing
- Develop and execute test plans for performance, security, scalability, and recoverability.
- Document processes, configurations, and infrastructure changes for knowledge sharing and compliance.
