Vice President, Senior Trader

Job Title: Vice President, Senior Trader Location: CA - Westlake Village What you'll do: AmeriHome is seeking a VP, Senior Trader to join its growing Capital Markets Trading team. This is a challenging and dynamic role requiring complex problem-solving skills, working knowledge of Capital Markets and experience in Secondary Marketing trading and pricing of residential mortgage loans and MBS. The ideal candidate will have previously demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast-paced trading environment, a strong academic background, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This is not a day trader role but rather focuses on pricing, hedging and risk management activities within AmeriHome’s correspondent channel. • Day to Day management of the correspondent bulk trading desk • Assist in the hedging of the mortgage pipeline including the buying and selling of TBA securities • Responsible for maintaining client relationships working closely with internal sales team • Assist in margin management and maintenance • Perform competitive analysis and recommend updates to pricing in order to maximize company volume and revenue • Ensuring trades are executed and confirmed on a timely and accurate basis • Interact with clients, trading partners, and other departments within AmeriHome on trade-related issues What you'll need: • 5 years of relevant work experience in residential mortgage lending capital markets required • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field • Strong analytical, math, and critical thinking skills • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment • Attention to detail and accuracy • CFA or MBA preferred • Experience with VBA and/or SQL a plus Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $130,400.00 - $153,412.50 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
