Ameirlodge Group in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan is looking for a HR Specialist to join our team! Our new team member primarily focus will be HR Generalist support to hotels within the portfolio. Our team consists of VP of HR, Senior HR Specialist, and one other HR Specialist.
Amerilodge Group is a privately-owned Hospitality company which manages, operates and owns hotels in the Midwest. We have 40 hotels through Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. We work with IHG, Marriott, and Hilton brands.
General Summary
Human Resources Specialist assists in the development, implementation and administration of human resources functions, including associate recruitment and development, benefits administration and associate relations. They will assist in the overall operation of the Human Resource Department by maintaining accurate employee records. To provide support in the areas of employment, benefit, administration, employee relations, payroll, benefits, and training.
Education/Experience
Bachelors’ Degree in related industry and/or equivalent work experience. Previous experience in Human Resources in the hotel industry preferred. Previous recruiting, payroll/benefits experience beneficial.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Screen all request to hires and determine eligibility for employment. Refer to department manager when appropriate. Verify reference checks and execute the employment process.
- Prepare correspondence and memos as needed.
- Maintain all logs (new hire, termination, transfers, department meetings, turnover reports).
- Complete appropriate paperwork for new hires, terms, payroll action forms and changes daily to keep payroll informed of all new hires, transfers, terminations, job changes, raises and other changes in a timely, accurate manner.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws.
- Insure guarantee of fair treatment. Assist with EEOC, unemployment and harassment investigations.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
