AmeriHealth Caritas Family of Companies offers paid summer internships to students enrolled in full-time undergraduate or graduate degree programs.
As an AmeriHealth Caritas intern, you will learn about the health care industry, our Medicaid and Medicare plans, pharmacy benefits management and behavioral health care — and how we are working to improve access to health care for all Americans. You will also join us in building healthy communities through active service projects that support our mission.
Required Eligibility Guidelines: Candidates must meet either of the following eligibility required guidelines to be considered for the AmeriHealth Caritas Internship program.
- Candidates must be able to work a Hybrid schedule, which is 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely.
- Candidates must be able to fully commit to the approximate 10-week internship program from June 2, 2025 to August 8, 2025.
Option 1:
- Candidates must be rising Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors by June 2, 2025, actively enrolled in a full-time undergraduate 2-year or 4-year college degree program, and open to all academic majors.
- Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
Option 2:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a postgraduate program or professional school (e.g., a Master's program or a law program) by June 2, 2025.
- Candidates must have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
Responsibilities:
As a Community Investment Intern, you will assist in planning, organizing, and evaluating community investment initiatives, including Care Crew events, Healthy Hoops programs, and mentoring efforts. You will conduct research and competitive analysis to support community programs and team initiatives while collaborating with all levels of the organization to engage and motivate volunteers. Additionally, you will provide support for the annual giving campaign and other community investment projects. This role also requires occasional travel with the Signature Programs team during the summer, with the possibility of weekend commitments. Through this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in community engagement and social impact, allowing you to make a meaningful difference while developing valuable professional skills.
Education & Experience:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Open to all majors—students with strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is preferred; ability to learn new systems quickly is a plus.
