Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our team. This role requires hands-on experience with concrete forming, finishing, and the operation of related machinery. The Concrete Laborer will work closely with other team members to ensure high-quality results and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and pouring of concrete for various structures including foundations, slabs, and walls.
- Operate concrete mixers and other machinery as needed for mixing and transporting concrete.
- Perform concrete forming tasks, ensuring proper alignment and support for structures.
- Finish surfaces of poured concrete using tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Fabricate forms and molds for concrete structures according to project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as necessary for transporting materials on-site.
Requirements
- Previous experience in warehouse settings or construction environments is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating equipment and troubleshooting issues.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in concrete forming and finishing is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on collaboration and communication.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to machining or fabrication processes as needed.
