Our client, a Medical Center facility under the aegis of a California Public Ivy university and one of largest health delivery systems in California, seeks an accomplished Cashier.

Position: Cashier (Job Id – 2751747)

Location: West Hills, CA 91307

Duration: 3 Months Possible Extension

Shifts:

M-F Shifts

5:30-2:00 PM

11:30-8:00PM

Weekends/Holidays

5:30-2:00 PM

4:00-8:00 PM

11:30-8:00 PM (based on operational need)

Each person may not work the same shift every week as we may have to rotate them based on operational need.

• Must have at least a High School Diploma.
• Must be able to read, speak, and understand English in order to write memos, and to read and understand policies and procedures relevant to employment in the department.
• Skill in handling a computerized cash register.
• Skill in making change, handling currency, and being able to recognize counterfeit bills easily.
• Skill in performing basic bookkeeping transactions, as well as basic math in order to maintain accurate and legible cash logs.
• Ability to interact with both internal and external customers in a high volume operation, with diplomacy, and patience.
• Mathematical skills to insure accuracy in calculating and generating deposits and postings according to University Policy.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all Departmental, University, and Hospital policies as relevant to cash handling procedures.
• Ability to function fully as a team member, participating in on-going performance improvement projects.
• Ability to stand, bend, walk, reach, lift, push and pull for prolonged periods of time in hot or cold areas.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all safety and sanitation procedures as outlined by JC and HACCP standards.
• Knowledge of and adherence to all departmental work rules such as applies to attendance, punctuality, dress code, and removal of University property
