Amerlux, a pioneer in the lighting industry for over 35 years, is seeking a Engineering Data Administrator to join our Engineering Administration team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduated who loves organizing bills of materials information using applications.
The Engineering Data Administrator is responsible for managing tasks and requests based on email and logged information. The position will is responsible for entering and retrieving data from our Oracle ERP system. The role requires strong time management skills, and the ability to adapt as the daily or weekly needs of the company change. Successful candidates will work efficiently in a deadline driven environment, demonstrating a high level of initiative, utilized strong problem solving abilities and analytical skills.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Create and maintain part numbers and bill of materials (BOM) in Oracle. Input new products lines into CPQ, Oracle and Access.
- Run daily and weekly reports within Oracle and review information.
- Work within the Quotes Price Configure system (CPQ) to maintain data integrity.
- Update and maintain daily request information and follow up on requests in a timely manner.
- Assist Engineers with submitting and processing all engineering change requests (ECRs). Communicate changes throughout the organization
- Work with Engineers to create models and configurators for customer support to use.
- Maintain/update bill of material (BOM) status for jobs on Smartsheets spreadsheets.
- Process finished good BOM requests from Forecasting, Marketing, Customer Support and Warranty departments.
- Other duties as deemed appropriate by Management.
Skills & Requirements:
- Associate Degree or BA in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365. Advanced skill level in Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to proactive engage and collaborate with Customer Support, Quotations and Engineering Departments.
- Must be disciplined and enjoy working in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong sense of initiative and ability to work independently while multitasking effectively.
- Proven problem solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Must possess a strong work ethic and a drive to exceed assigned tasks.
- Willing to learn the company's lighting products.
- Experience in manufacturing ERP system (Oracle or SAP).
