CONCRETE SUPERINTENDENT

POSITION DESCRIPTION

This summarizes the basic functions, reporting relationships, authority, and responsibilities of the Concrete Finisher at Ameron.

• BASIC FUNCTIONS
• The person occupying the position of superintend oversees 2-3 concrete crews. The primary role is to support the crews in the field, assist with bidding and billing jobs.
• REQUIREMENTS
• Educational requirements for this position are:
• Required: Minimum high school diploma and 10-year concrete construction
• Must be in sufficient physical condition to work 8-10 hour days in the field and lift 50# materials and concrete forms
• REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
• This position would report to the President/CEO
• May be required to assume a Lead Man/Lead Woman position if conditions warrant
• It is essential to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all co-workers in the company

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Must be able to complete a concrete job from start to finish given drawings and specifications
• Ability to plan work
• Receive material deliveries and complete proper handling of paperwork associated with same
• Able to provide proper info for timesheet reports

REQUIRED SMALL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT

Employee is required to have their own small tools consisting of the following:

• Nail belt, Hammer, Tape, Speed Square, Chalk Line, Vise Grips, Nail Bar, Concrete Boots, and Concrete Finishing Hand Tools.
• Tools that are worn out on the job site will be replaced by Ameron; However, the company will not be responsible for neglect of tools or tools that are lost or damaged due to employees' carelessness

PERFORMANCE CRITERIA AND EXPECTATIONS

• Daily Attendance and promptness is a must
• Complete work assigned in a timely manner to meet schedule deadlines while maintaining high quality workmanship
• Demonstrate ability to develop layouts for an entire job
• Adaptability to changing work priorities that may occur
• Follow proper change order procedures as per company policy
• Exhibit a team player attitude while working with peers

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
