What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Ameron Pole Products, LLC?
Ameron Pole Products is searching for a CWI-Inspector/NDT Technician in our Tulsa, Oklahoma facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing visual weld inspections, nondestructive inspections for acceptance or rejection in accordance with the applicable codes, procedures, or instructions to help meet Quality and Production goals.
What you'll do:
Requires knowledge of industry specific codes and standards.
The inspector will be required to interpret and evaluate inspection results for welding fit-up and filler metal placement with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, be able to set up and calibrate all testing equipment
Use visual inspection techniques (VT) as well as Ultrasonic testing (UT) and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to perform non-destructive tests to identify errors or defects in product. Oversee welder qualification tests and evaluate welder performance.
Accurately complete and maintain all required records.
Follow all safety rules and practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Overtime may be required to meet production goals.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED required.
Current Certification as AWS-CWI
Basic computer skills, knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
Current Certification in MT, UT (in accordance with ASNT-TC-1A) is a plus, training can be provided to obtain certification.
Shift: Weekend crew. Friday-Sunday. 5am-5:30pm work 36 hours paid for 40 hours. Overtime Available.
