The Marketing Director will contribute to our Mission by driving corporate marketing, branding, communication, and shareholder initiatives that support the development of long-term growth plans and profitability goals for Ames National Corporation (ANC) and affiliate banks. Additional duties for the position include:
- Oversees and develops the Company's marketing, branding, shareholder communications and public relations efforts.
- Collaborates with ANC CEO to develop the Company's shareholder communications: including quarterly and annual reports, website content and press releases. Coordinates the Annual Shareholder Meeting and develops presentation materials.
- Manages the ANC external and internal websites, collaborating and updating as needed.
- Develops and implements a social media strategy that integrates content for multiple social media channels that aligns with the overall marketing plan.
- Collaborates with Company leadership and affiliate banks regarding marketing, branding, communication and customer engagement efforts.
- Monitors and assesses potential enhancements for products or services delivery in anticipation of changes in the financial services environment.
Leadership:
- Chairs the Company's Marketing committee and leads a team of Affiliate Bank representatives in delivering Marketing services designed to meet business objectives.
- Provides leadership and guidance to Affiliate Banks with the development of marketing strategies, customer service initiatives, and growth and retention efforts in line with Company objectives.
- Works collaboratively with ANC department leads and builds relationships across the Company.

Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field.
- At least ten (10) years' experience in banking or related corporate marketing.
- Marketing plan development and project management experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage/lead complex projects.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills.
- Ability to effectively engage and influence a variety of audiences.
- Ability to see the big picture and plan out details.
- Excellent understanding of key performance metrics, market research, forecasting, and competitor analysis.
- Self-starter with strong decision-making, process improvement and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Technology savvy, able to learn new software systems, processes, and programs quickly and without much direction.
- Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices, KPIs and emerging trends (Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) to produce written communications, presentations and reports.
Ability to use image design, email, and web tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics, etc.).
Videography/video editing (a plus).
