Job Goals: Efficiently managing administrative tasks, maintaining organized records, managing the budget, and facilitating effective communication between students, parents, and staff to contribute to the smooth operation of the school office.Supervision: Building PrincipalEssential Duties & Responsibilities: Assists the principal with duties requiredAnswers the telephone, directs calls, greets members of the public, faculty, and students, covers the reception area as neededCommunicates and corresponds with faculty, staff, parents, teachers, students, and community in a variety of formats including email, newsletters, social media, etc.Maintains the school calendar and manages the principals calendarUpdates the school websiteManages facilities requests for building use in collaboration with central officeMaintains staff records Works with the principal and department heads to manage the budget - including, but not limited to, budget ordering, completing purchase orders, managing student activity accounts, etc.Maintains and updates both paper and electronic files, documents, and formsUtilizes technology including our student information system, databases, and Google suiteProvides clerical support for the administration Attends meetings as needed by the building principalPlans logistics for events, including award ceremonies and graduationGathers, analyzes, and interprets data as needed for compiling reportsWorks within the requirements of DESE and the districtOther duties as assigned by the building principal and/or their designee.Recommended Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or higherExcellent computer skills, particularly the Google SuiteExcellent time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentialityExperience with budgeting preferredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
