POSITION
The College Advisor is a key member of the leadership team dedicated to empowering AMPS students to achieve their higher education aspirations. Building upon AMPS' strong tradition of academic excellence, this role focuses on preparing students for college success by providing comprehensive guidance, support, and resources. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the college admissions and financial aid landscape. They possess exceptional organizational skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to fostering student success.
Requirements :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support and Advising
- Cultivate a supportive and goal-oriented environment centered around 100% college enrollment.
- Oversee and optimize school-wide college application and counseling processes.
- Conduct in-depth academic reviews to assess student eligibility for college, NCAA, and yearly course selections.
- Deliver comprehensive college and financial aid workshops for students and families.
- Build strong relationships with college representatives to create opportunities for students.
- Provide individualized academic advising and support to students, including those at risk of falling behind.
- Guide students in career exploration and internship placement.
- Coordinate college application and acceptance processes for seniors.
- Prepare juniors and sophomores for college readiness (e.g., PSAT analysis).
- Manage SAT / ACT registration and college fair participation.
- Monitor student progress, including report card review and parent / student meetings.
- Teach college readiness courses as needed.
Program Management
Reporting, Research, and Data Analysis
Perform other duties, as assigned.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $67,000 - $73,500. Salary is commensurate with experience, education, and expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
This is a full-time, exempt, 100% in-person position.
