What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Amethyst Massage?
Part time $12-$15 /hr depending on experience

Tuesday
Wednesday
Thursday- preferred
Friday- preferred
Saturday
Sunday
Shifts are based on scheduled appointments and massage therapists' schedules, ranging from 8am-8pm
We are looking for someone
- who is a people person
- Spa, clinic, Hospitality/reception, customer service, kitchen/hosting/waiting experience required(at least one listed, at least 1yr)
- Experience using vagaro preferred
- Problem solving skills
- Comfortable thinking on their feet
- Massage experience or has a desire to learn about massage modalities and their benefits
- Tech savvy/ capable
- Tidy
- Respectful of all bodies especially those of different and/or limited ability levels
- Ability to identify hate speech/ dog whistles
- Aligns with our studio values
- Comfortable making and answering phone calls, texts, professional DMs, emails, and online inquiries
- Punctual
- Internally motivated
- Detail oriented
- Multilingual, bilingual, fluency in ASL considered 1st
Tasks
- Scheduling, rescheduling, and organizing appointments efficiently
- Greet and guide guests
- Providing intake forms and ensuring they are completed
- Abide by HIPPA at all times
- Check outs
- Correctly respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
- Understand and be able to clearly communicate studio policies to the public
- Washing, folding, and putting away laundry(sheets, towels, ect.)
- Light cleaning to keep public areas tidy and presentable(dusting, swiffering, decluttering, disinfecting, ect)
- Light stocking of refreshments: free treats, business cards, stickers, toiletries, soap, and water cups
- Open and/or close studio
Expectations
- While we do not have uniforms we do expect our therapists and support to dress in professional/athletic wear. Branded shirts will be provided but not required.
- Be respectful of gender, gender expression, body, and cultural diversity of clients and staff
- Maintain professional appearance and demeanor (to clarify body modification and creative self expression are welcome and celebrated here)
- Adherence and dedication to all disinfection and sanitation protocols
- Must be willing to wear a mask upon request
- Racism, hate speech, and/or body shaming of any kind will not be tolerated, we expect our staff to be able to identify and address these behaviors in ways safest for themself. Recognizing and addressing these behaviors early ensures the safety of our staff and clients
- Inform management of schedule changes, preferences, and expected leave time
