CDnA - Director, Marketing Science Operations
What you will do
Amgen’s Data Sciences team within the Commercial Data and Analytics (CD&A) department is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of MarSci Operations to lead our technology and data science initiatives, ensuring our teams are equipped with the best tools and processes to drive impactful outcomes.
The Director of Marketing Sciences Operations will be responsible for managing the technology platforms that support our data science teams and ensuring the seamless execution of our media and marketing strategies. The successful candidate is a strategist with a strong technical background who can collaborate across departments and with external partners to enhance our capabilities so Amgen can achieve a competitive edge in the market.
This is a hybrid position in either Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL offices, expected to be in office 3 times a week.
Key Responsibilities :
Technology Management :
Oversee and manage technology platforms that facilitate day-to-day operations for data science teams, including clean rooms, digital reporting, media hubs, and digital applications.
- Ensure platforms are optimized for efficiency, security, and scalability to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Collaboration and Strategic Evaluation :
Collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners to continuously assess new technology developments and trends.
Digital Reporting Solutions :
Manage all digital automated reporting solutions for media investments towards healthcare professionals (HCP) and direct-to-consumer (DTC) tactics.
Vendor Relations Management :
Establish and manage relationships with media publishers, data providers, measurement partners and other technology vendors.
Data Pipeline and Automation Development :
Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and automation processes to increase team efficiency and improve data quality.

Basic Qualifications :
Doctorate degree and 4 years of data engineering and / or data science experience

Master’s degree and 8 years of data engineering and / or data science experience
Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of data engineering and / or data science experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 4 years experience directly managing people and / or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
