Brand Director, Nplate
What you will do
As the Brand Director for Nplate®. You will be responsible for efficiently maintaining Nplate growth performance by ensuring the correct strategic focus, allocating resources across the marketing mix to enhance ROI, and ensuring effective execution across all channels. You will lead the development and implementation of the Nplate brand plan and strategy to drive impact, and you will identify other market opportunities to prepare for the potential launch of new indications. You will play an instrumental part in driving innovative ways to compete in a rapidly evolving and extremely competitive marketplace and partner with global on patient impact expansion opportunities. This role requires you to bring to the table exceptional leadership, a strategic mindset, proven capability to build brands and a highly collaborative approach, while flawlessly executing the strategy of the brand to the healthcare community and with patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Accountability to maximize the commercial opportunity for Nplate to ensure that all financial
(sales projections, market share, etc.) and non-financial (brand management, staff development) goals are met
Lead the development of the full brand planning process for the brand, partnering with other functional stakeholders to ensure strategic decision making. You will develop the full execution plan for HCPs and patients with team members to include product strategy, critical success factors, behavioral objectives, and tactics along with required budget and resources
Oversee the implementation of the promotional plan to ensure marketing initiatives and messages appropriately drive utilization, differentiation and share growth
Represent team as commercial director to manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review (MAC) and approval of materials to enable responsible and compliant consumer communications
Partner with sales lead to ensure strategic and executional connectivity with the sales force. Regularly interface with the sales team to optimize performance, as well as troubleshoot and resolve execution barriers. Help train sales teams on marketing resources and strategy
Continuously collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure connectivity to brand strategy, marketing and sales execution and performance
Partner with Contracting and Pricing to ensure there are no barriers to access for Nplate
Manage, coach and develop a team of marketing professionals
Develop and manage the strategic investments of the brand budget, including resources (budget, talent) and vendors (performance of ad agency and any creative agencies). Drive team’s development of creative content with minimal, selective AOR support, and leveraging internal cost-efficient partners like Indegene or CoLab
Negotiate to gain resources despite constraints, including developing appropriate business cases to advance the brand
Regularly interface with key customers and opinion leaders to gain real time input into marketing priorities and tactics
Input into Long Range Scenario planning, Quarterly Business Reviews and Latest Estimate (forecasting) process

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or Commercial experience
Or
Master’s degree and 7 years of Marketing and/or Commercial experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of Marketing and/or Commercial experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong marketing & management skills including developing market strategies (segmentation, positioning, key messages, etc.), executing tactics, and responsibility for revenue generation
Ability to understand, interpret and communicate commercial and competitive implications of complex technical/ clinical/ regulatory data
Proactive leader with ability to demonstrate marketing competencies and forward-looking strategic thinking
Ability to work confidently in a cross-functional team (e.g., with Medical, Medical Communication, Regulatory, Legal, Value & Access, Global, CD&A) and build effective internal partnerships
Thorough knowledge of and experience in working with the promotions legal/regulatory environment including firsthand MAC experience and knowledge of Compliance SOPs
Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence cross-functional teams
Strong competitive mindset, including the ability to champion ideas, make decisions and focus on results
Ability to translate market research and emerging clinical and real-world data sets into insights and effective campaigns, solutions and programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Passion to understand marketplace dynamics, roll up sleeves to dig into data, and apply deep insights to delight customers by best addressing their needs
Excellent written, analytical and oral communication skills
Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
