What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position at Amherst Family Chiropractic, PC?
In this efficient but friendly chiropractic office you'll play a role in helping people get well every day.
This is a combination position split between reception and office work. You will execute a variety of administrative tasks, while also taking phone calls, helping patients with forms and insurance, and scheduling appointments.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Greeting patients
- Verifying insurance information
- Assisting patients entering information on paper forms and digitally
- Collecting patient payments
- Scheduling appointments
- Data entry
- Filing
- Coordination with our billing agency
- Assembling documentation for mailings
- Patient follow-up
- 8:30 - 5:30
Physical demands: This job entails a lot of sitting, but there are many opportunities to get up during the day.
Skills and capabilities: Our top candidate will be great with people, detail-oriented, highly organized, able to respond to interruptions and return to focus, excellent at follow-through, can utilize and maintain existing systems, and has a good memory. Being willing and able to learn is essential (we will train you). Experience with the world of insurance is a plus. Good keyboard and Windows PC skills are important, as is the ability to write brief letters and do basic math.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
