What are the responsibilities and job description for the Night Custodial Supervisor, Amherst Regional High School position at Amherst-Pelham Regional Public Schools?
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Night Custodial Supervisor at the Amherst Regional High School. This is a full-time, full year, permanent position, working 40 hours a week between the hours of 3pm and 11pm during the school year and 7am to 3 : 30pm when school is not in session (summer and school vacation periods). This is a Grade D position within the AFSCME bargaining unit. Pay range is $18.76 to $19.97.
Reports to : Facilities Director (Interacts with Head Custodian)
Qualifications : Demonstrated aptitude to perform job responsibilities and to supervise night custodial staff in performing custodial work.
Responsibilities :
- Point of contact for events that occur in the building in the evening. Also responsible for setting up and breaking down events in the school.
- Responsible for supervising night custodial crew at the high school.
- To ensure custodial work is completed each night.
- To secure the building at the end of each night shift.
- To report problems to the proper authority if they cannot be dealt with in a reasonable or safe manner (i.e. emergencies that arise during the night shift).
- Will assist the Head Custodian in planning and accomplishing annual activities in order to establish and maintain a clean and safe environment within the school.
- Must be a team leader, prioritizing the safety of the school environment for the students and staff.
- Will report to the Head Custodian on a daily basis.
- Shovels, and / or sands walks, driveways, parking areas and steps, as appropriate with seasonal demands.
- Vacuums carpets, dry mops floors, dusts, etc. daily
- Cleans corridors after school each day and maintains a clean and attractive environment throughout the school.
- Washes windows, inside regularly, and outside at least twice yearly.
- Keeps grounds free from rubbish.
- Remain on school grounds during working hours, and during non-school hours when the use of the school building has been authorized.
- Moves furniture or equipment within the buildings, as required for various activities and as directed by the Head Custodian.
- All other assigned duties as required by the Director of Facilities and / or their designee.
