SUMMER SKILLS PROGRAM 2025 -TEACHING ASSISTANT-MIDDLE SCHOOL(1 position)

LOCATION: **Summer School will take place at Amherst High School this year**

ANTICIPATED HOURS: 8:30AM - 10:30AM (Monday - Thursday) - 8 /hours per week total

SALARY: $19.00/hour

START DATE: July 9, 2025

DATES OF PROGRAM: July 9, 2025 - August 7, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age - minimum
• Teaching Assistants MUST HAVE a Teaching Assistant Certification OR NYS Teacher Certification OR working towards either of these certifications.
• Must be fingerprinted by the NYS Dept of Education before start date Fingerprint Procedure-attached
• Experience working with middle level students preferred (grades 6-8)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Supervision of and assistance with students in the Middle School Summer Skills Program(Grades 6-8). Responsibilities include attendance monitoring, and working with students in classes on assignments.

Please note: This is a daily part-time position (8Hours / Week) in the mornings.
